Hello everyone!

Has anyone managed to get into Vietnam with foreign plates recently? I'd rather not be part of a tour if I can avoid it.

We know most of the Vietnam agents pretty well. What we've been told is a few months ago, the Vietnamese agents would let small groups in under their tour licenses "unsupervised" which is illegal.

They started getting called every day by the Vietnamese police. who wanted confirmation that the foreigners were being supervised, which scared the agents and they've told us that they will no longer risk not being with the foreigner who is on their tour bond.
 
Ahhh okay that's what I've heard. Unfortunate how things have gotten trickier in South East Asia. Thanks for the help!
