For those of you who have a Garmin Zumo 550 GPS here is an illustrated description on how to replace the touch screen in case it does not work anymore (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=528905).

I Know of two people who had problems with the touch screen in that it did not respond anymore or "did things by itself". It seems that dirt, water, etc. somehow can damage the touch screen - cleaning of the screen with Q-tips or other soft things sometimes helps in cleaning around the edges but in severe cases the touch screen has to be replaced. Garmin will charge 125-150 USD plus shipping costs for the repairs if out of warranty. If you are handy with things, you can do it yourself at the costs of a new screen of 20 USD from China (check Ebay).
