I will attempt to drive my Hilux "Garbage truck" in with trailer, bikes, tools, BBQ and couple beers.

I'm sure the clean up will not take long. We will do a loop ride from the hut as well. All are welcome to come. You can either meet us at Moto Bistro in Hang Dong at 9am or at the Moto hut "GPS coordinates 18.766384, 98.808803" sometime around 10am.

Rick flipping his bike charging up a root step up. It was at this point I notice a ugly noise coming from my bike. Sounded like my clutch basket was coming apart. So our loop ride was cut short. We decided to headed back.

Well things did not exactly go as planned but in the end the trip and objective was a great success in my opinion. The Hut was cleaned and the local riders stepped up and helped out. I felt that they appreciate our efforts and they also pledged to do a better job of keeping the Moto Bistro hut clean.

This young lady told me she was a relative of the owner. She told me she was very happy we cleaned things up and we were welcome to camp anytime. She also asked me to tell the rest of the thai guys to keep it clean. Kind of funny how forceful she said it. I told her I do not speak thai but would tell me anyhow.

The guy in the red shirt offered to carry out some of the trash. He took eight bags. I joked but not really jokingly said do not throw it out on the way out. Told them it was mostly glass and plastic bottles which can be recycled for cash.

Nice job Jim, sad fact that every place you pull over no matter how far off the beaten track you are there is always a festering pile of garbage, good effort on your part and Thai - Farang relationships.

Even though my bike crapped out and did not get much of a ride in I still had a great day. Cleaned things up, meet some new riders, beers, BBQ's and laughs. I think we gave the hut a name now and the owner sister was good with it...

Can't wait for the next adventure. I'll tear into my bike this week and hopefully have her going for the weekend.

You certainly found lots of mud Jim, looks like you had a good time though

Update...

We finished up a great enduro ride at the Moto Bistro Hut Sunday the 10th (report coming soon) and I'm happy to report things were nice and clean. Good to see the guys are using the trash bags we left behind.

Also very cool to see both an LC4 and a Tiger adventure bike enjoying the Hut.
