Garmin 62s maps.......

Hello,

I am just waiting for the delivery of a Garmin 62s which I brought from Oz on Ebay.

I have a couple of questions,

What is the easiest and cheapest way to download Thailand maps?

Does anyone know where I can get maps of trails around Pattaya / Chonburi?

I have 3 weeks left working in Malaysia to play with the thing before I get home.

For Malaysia you have a great free map on the internet, easy to find: including Singapore, entire Malaysia and Thailand Border.
For Thailand, I have always go for "free ones" and since none of them is accurate enough, you compile several. Adding up imprecisions make some good results...

Thanks guys I was pointed towards gpsunderground and have successfully got thailand maps and extracted from the .rar to .img, now just waiting for DHL to deliver to the unit.

If you're about to use Garmin's computer mapping software, use BASECAMP & not MAPSOURCE.

Garmin have announced that they are no longer updating Mapsource and will be updating Basecamp in the future, much better to get comfortable using Basecamp as it will be the way forward.

hi guys ihave got a 62s and its only got the world map on is the above place the only way to get esri map onto it and do you have to order the cd is there nowhere online that you can download it

Just google free garmin maps. There are a variety of free maps which are downloadable, alternatively go onto Garmins site and you can buy there genuine ones which are downloadable.
