Vangkham, new tourist site in Saravan to open in April 2016

The ongoing improvement of the Vangkham tourist area in Saravan Province, which is a new tourist destination, is expected to be opened for public service by the coming Lao Lunar New Year’s celebration. Vangkham is an ecotourism site built around the Se Set river between Natu and Kaleng villages of Saravan district.

The concept of the Vangkham tourist area is likely to be similar to Vang Vieng, a main tourist attraction of Vientiane Province. The Vangkham tourist area will provide tourists, among other attractions, with floating restaurants that will cruise along the Se Set river. Also currently underway are the construction of several viewpoints for tourists, art and cultural promotions, and the construction of public facilities.
