Yep your right, it is it was taken about three years ago, so many roads so little time :G

Here's a video from 3 years ago of me getting passed by my mate Mick, then Mark Rossi then Luke Stokes.
We were doing a Motard tour with Mark on the DRZ400's

I was there last month, made a small video to entertain myself.... LOL....

Nice road/nice view !!!

Rental bikes go harder. Did it on Australia day, 2013. Double demerit points downunder. Still smiling. Must do it on the CRF.

Leaving Tony, from Tony's Place, Nan's remembrance service, what could be more fitting than R 1148 back to Chiang Mai

Mid-September, up in the mountains, you'd be shocked if you didn't get a soaking. We managed to dodge all the rain squalls, all of them, quite amazing.

Jeff on the V-Strom 650, miraculously, this one missed us

We thought this one would get us for sure (R 1148 to the left)

R 1148 ends & SW on R 1021. We've ridden past the teak house graveyards hundreds of times and never stopped before. In the Waing Lo region on R 1021, there are several teak wholesalers that dismantle old, Thai, teak houses and recycle the teak. It's quite a huge operation.

Check out all the ancient, wooden, food serving tray tables hanging from the main building behind

There is about 6 of these teak house recycler's all within 500 meters of each other

If you're headed SW from R 1148, it's an unusual thing to see

You're right but sadly the road is almost overgrown these days because of lack of use.

Three day ride out to Nan & back with a few Chiang Mai locals featuring the 1148 as my initiation. Awesome long weekend blowing the cobwebs out. Nice way to finish my 3 1/2 weeks in Thailand and Laos. Will post some of the better Laos shots on the Laos page.

What a great area. Probably the best ride I've had in Thailand.
