Not sure if this has been posted already but news just came.
Read the paper, so apparently to preserve wildlife and avoid fires they simply ban everyone from entering the NP. Also meaning no more riding

also important piece of info: this is in enforced from the 1st of December 2016 until 30th of April 2017
 
Last weekend a friend tried to ride up from huay tung tao with his bicycle and apparently ALL the trails are closed (something to do with the king's palace). Not sure for how long.
