Only 145km covered today

After a very nice nice sandwich in the Manychan, today was to be an easier ride covering the 1830 and 1203 myself and Dennis rode back in 2009, we both recalled how rocky it was back then and hopped for some improvement.

Soon onto the 1830 i spotted a stupa off in the distance.

It turned out to be at the village of Nasavang where i recall we spent some time drink beer in a house of ill repute, closer investigation it was a very unusual stupa.

We stopped at the village of Pangkhai for some refreshments, as expected all the local kid’s came out and i dished out sweets for them, this kid had more than the norm as far as lucky charms go.

The beautiful lady who ran the shop, her husband on the right was quick to offer the services of his sister which i declined.

He was tossing these tablets down him like sweets.

A Swiss couple we had passed earlier joined us for a drink and hoped to reach Boun Tai this evening.

Back on the road we came to this landslide.

Only one obvious path so we ditched the bags to make life easier.

I made it across and Dennis was next to follow any slip on those planks and its bye bye to the bike.

As we packed our bags, a guy showed up from nowhere demanding 10k kip off each of us, we all became deaf and rode off.

As we came closer to Boun Tai, this what looked a school appeared for nowhere it was clear a lot of money had been spend but no sign’s to say what it was.
