With risk of sounding like a broken record: Try the free java program RouteConverter. It will do the same thing but better. You have more maps and you can mark as many POIs you like and you can save them straight on your gps.

I should add: You can save straight to the GPS units I have tried (Zumo 220, 550 650 and some Tom Toms) but it may not be so easy with a simpler/older unit.

For Zumo: You save the POIs as gpx 1.0 or 1.1 format in the GPS' gamin/gpx folder and then use the GPS' import function. The POIs will then be among your favorites. Observe that this is not the same as using the "POI loader" software. The "POI loader" creates POIs that appears to be part of the map you are using.
