Mark, Luke or Justin must have scouted this because it's on Auke's map & looks like a fantastic ride. It links R 1082 which is a fantastic road west of Nan in a westerly direction by dirt trails to R 1228.

I poked around on google earth in the same area and it shows these trails and a few more in the same area.

Heres the trip report on it Phil, I remember talking with Luke about riding here, he said that he and Mark had rode it and I expect a few others have as well.
Its well worth riding and a good days trip out from Nan

I knew i'd seen it somewhere Colin, looking at the trail from google earth, it looked mountainous dirt, so didn't think it was you, it threw me off, thanks for pointing it out!

I forgot that dual sport phantom can go anywhere.

Colin - what do you think about this route in rainy season for a dirt bike with good tires? Much steep clay around, which would be a night mare in the rain?

Photo's never give the gradient justice and I've learned that if it looks like this in the photo, its twice as steep as the photo shows, so this is concerning

I personally wouldnt fancy it in the wet Phil as yes that is steep, ask Luke and Mark about when they rode it as perhaps they did it when it was wet
