Just had my 4000klm service at Mityon Pattayaand all they did was change the oil and filter!!!

I asked the service "manager" !!! and he said nothing else needs to be done until 10000?

Anyone have advise on what needs to be done to do th3e job properly as I have checked all the ususal stuff but not opened the engine as yet?

I wouldnt have thought anything else would need doing at the 4000 km service, I run a Kawasaki KLX 250 and its an oil and filter change at 1000 km, at 6000 km the same plus the air filter gets washed and reoiled and at 12000 km the valve clearances need checking and the air filter gets replaced

However, Windrider, the Thai language maintenance booklet which came with my CRF suggests (page12) that the 1st year service intervals are at
1,000 then 6,000 then 12,000 kms .... yet on page14 (to be stamped at service) the intervals are 1,000 then 4,000 then 8,000 kms during the first year.

My CRF/M maintenance schedule lists only one item to check (C) at 6,000km, that's the crank case breather; at 18,000km it's only two items, again check the crank case breather and replace the air filter.
Makes sense that the Thai bikes should change the air filter at 18K while the English schedule says 24K.
The engine oil is listed the same - every 12K km, which is kind of surprising.
I can't read Thai but I compared the Thai maintenance schedule with the one you posted, they look about the same from top to bottom.
