140/80-18 is a big wide tyre for a 250L, there's so little horse power available as it is !!!!
I'd be sticking with a 120/80 or 120/90-18. I have a 110/100-18 on my CRF250L at the moment, it's a tall tyre and needed a new longer chain to fit it on.

Fitted the original size (front n rear) sometime ago, only used for 2 months as the traction is bad. Slip often and that's one time almost throw me out of the bike.
Best not to use.
Since then, I change to MT 21 and perform flawlessly.

YeahI like the mt21 have a set on there now,,,Good for off road but not so good on road a lot of road noise and they wear out quick on tarmac.....Got a trip to Malaysia coming up mainly on tarmac and think a bit of a waste to put another set off mt21 on there.....was looking for something a bit more road orientated...am struggling to find the mt90 in the standard sizes for crf250l:(

Tried 3 major Pirelli suppliers today and none of them have crf250l sizes in stock have opted for Dunlop 604 instead
