A few friends & I took a trek out there on the bikes on Sunday to sample their Sunday buffet and home made sausages




There are 3 different seating rooms, seems this place's success outgrew them and they kept adding on - this is the main front restaurant

All in all they say they can sit 300 people!! -- 95% of the people there on Sunday were Thai - quite interesting - they must like their German sausage.


The buffet i think is about 150bht AMAZING value --- surprised Colin hasnt stumbled on this little gem yet, we all really enjoyed it

Bugger to find without a GPS !!

Good stuff, but I went with a mate early.. And I just cant eat that much early on in the day.. Pork knuckles.. Meat products galore.. Its pig-on-a-plate-tastic if your a big eater.

I believe that this is the place that Auke told me about recently and its a place I plan on visiting upon my return

Yes, that is the place I mentioned to Colin - on Sundays they always have a buffet and the last time we went it was 150 Baht excluding the drinks.

Getting MORE sausage on a Sunday - G &M German Sausage

Ally invited me to this place. I had been here once before but I arrived after the hungry mob had devoured the roasted pig. I decided to get here a bit early (1000) and take a photo of the pig before anyone had started in on it.

From Mae On I took the scenic route behind the Hot Springs. This is what you see once you are in the area of G&M Sausages:

It amazes me that there is so much open farmland so close to CNX proper.

Is the spit roast pig only on a Sunday? or does he do it every day?

That place is amazing value-for-money (if you can find it) - that's why there's 100 Thai's there every Sunday eating German sausage.


We should do an outing there for sure.

I do believe the pig is a Sunday-only deal.

Don't forget to ask for your free ice cream or yogurt at the finish...if you CAN finish.
