The route 118, 3044, 3005, 3116, 1317, 5110, 5114, 5144, 2079, 4001, 3019
Total distance 114 km
Out along the 118 until just past Doi Saket then it was a right onto the 3044 to try out some local roads that some of which I had not rode along before
First stop was the Huai Kong Khrai 7 reservoir
Unsurprisingly there were some Thais here enjoying their fishing on a peaceful sunday morning
At the overflow and almost at full capacity
There were a couple of small lakes along the way
Now at the Huai Kong Khrai 2 reservoir
I didnt hang around here too long as apparently they were expecting Yingluck Shinawatra to be arriving at 2 pm and I had no interest in getting stuck here
I ride on reaching the 118 where I take a right then about three km further its a right onto the 3005
After a couple of km I take a right onto an unnumbered road
At last the KLX finds me some dirt
I was expecting the surface to be wet and slippery but it wasnt
An unknown reservoir along the way
These were busy cooking their freshly caught dinner
Now for a pleasant gentle ride back along these peaceful narrow roads
Its good to know there are still lots of unexplored goodies on the doorstep
I get to meet up with my long time Thai friends whose address I use for my licence and bike registration for dinner today.
