Britbike Triumph, the official Thailand, Triumph agent has cut a new deal with the Thai Government regarding taxes on motorcycles sold in Thailand.
Initially, Triumph had got a bad deal because their Triumph, Thai assembly plant was in the wrong zone (location) to qualify for the special tax breaks. This has now been re-negotiated and almost 300,000 Bht will be knocked off the new Triumph Tiger 800 XCX price (new model).
Whispers are that the bike will be priced at around 550,000 Bht, so very similar to the BMW F 800 gs Thai price (530,000 Bht) . This updated model will have the same frame and engine with WP suspension, see below:
Tu from Britbike Triumph says most of their models from 24th December, 2014 (when the official price announcement will be made) will be priced in a range of 400,000 Bht to 550,000 Bht.
