Saturday night is always a buffet for 185 Baht.

Re: Three Go Exploring

Nice story Colin, even a little off road in there! Great to see you've got the photo transfer all working.

you can attach the gpx file to the report if you compress it first, not a big deal as they can get it from the link you supplied, thanks for the report - Phil

Re: Three Go Exploring

Captain,

The buffet seems to be something I should try - normally I go to Gunther's place (N18 47 51.1 E99 08 31.7) near Doi Sakhet (150 Baht all you can eat buffet on Sunday lunch time) but plan to try the Green Oasis on a Saturday evening.

Re: Three Go Exploring

Auke, likewise, I must try Gunther's place, what food is on the buffet?

Colin,

On the menu they have German and Thai food but the Sunday Lunch Buffet is basically all German food like Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle),Eisbein, Kassler Ribs, Sausages, Schnitzels, Salads, Sauerkraut, Bread, and a lot more, etc. Coffee and Ice-cream are included in the buffet price (seems to be 170 Baht now according to http://cm-eat.blogspot.com/2010/08/g-ge ... usage.html).

Better be there early as the place is packed from 11 in the morning or so till well into the afternoon. It is not a luxury place but the food is very good and, as they are butchers as well, you can buy sausages and a lot of other nice things like ham, etc. on the premises for home cooking.
