Mine is a Singapore registered bike. Paid 500baht for "police escort" over to Laos Border.
200baht to process vehicle conveyance document which I got when I entered Thailand via Aranyprahet border.
Just outside Thai border need to pay 50 baht toll.
At Laos side, need to pay 100baht to the custom officer.
I understand need to pay another 500baht for the return from Laos to Thailand. Other cost TBA... Just enter Laos today..
Procedure for other countries registered bike I not sure.

However crossing with a police escort was already an option many months ago, so actually nothing changed.
But happy you did the crossing there and confirm the escorted crossing with the costs.

An update regarding the departure... $$$$ again.
1000 baht for the Laos immigration to do your passport and escort you to Thai border.
100baht for Laos custom officer
Thai side 300baht for the immigration officer.
Custom never ask for it. The uncle looks blur so maybe he forgot...

Am going to Boten so this is the nearest entry point... But then I failed my objective. Mistake the Laos border for China... Only a minute ride more... Found out too late.. Back in Thailand already..

Ripped u off! Should be 500 for the escort in Laos side then 0 on the Thai side(they will try a 200! But is not 'required'

Well... A one off thing for me... Got to pay "school fees" sometimes... When you have an objective... Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet... No point arguing... Can't get anywhere... Unless the government has an official release then will be a different case.
