Does anyone know the legalities of selling a vehicle within Thailand i.e. is "SOLD as Seen" or similar a law?

With the way Thai consumer protection laws are, and the cut and shut bent banana cars made from write offs at the tent dealers, I can't imagine that anything other but you pay for it you own it rules supreme.
