Hmm - not sure if this is a ride report or just a bit of dross.

Last Friday, we had ten bikes on a ride that included part of the Samoeng Loop - and some other bits. One additional rider was going to join us along the way, rather than meeting at the start point - and in the tradition of such arrangements, it went wrong and he buggered off home without finding us. We probably missed by ten seconds... but that's the way it goes.

We met for coffees, some had breakfast, etc at Rider's Corner - and it was stands up at 10am prompt. Suthep Rd was the usual shitfight, so, as always, we regrouped at the servo on the canal rd. It was around the back of the Royal Park, to avoid the stuffups at the 121-1269 roadworks.... only to find that the road-widening is still happening, but it wasn't too bad. Another couple of weeks and it will be sweet. It's already our go to.

We hadn't had a look at Wat Phra That Si Mueang Pong for a year or so, so we took in the state of the works. Nearly done. Looking great.

Off to Max Coffee - a new stop for us, but worth taking in for their fabulous views.

Then - off to Samoeng, and on up the 4021 to the Vietnamese temple (which apparently is Chinese, according to the guy we spoke with). They were happy to see us, gave us water... for which we made a donation. Had a chat... and then, off to Mon Jam for lunch. Changed our plans over lunch as the back road roadworks weren't finished... down the hill to the 1096.

... more later - fish tacos arrived.

Pulled into the X Centre for a cleansing ale... and then off home.

Here's the video. Arse about... the descent first, then the climb
