It has been a busy first month for Tum and I at Riders Corner, but I've taken the time to do a couple of short rides. Excuse the dirty mapping... my excuse is that I need to hard-wire the GPS in.... but this gives the idea.

We had five bikes on the Samoeng Loop ride... all with the Ulysses Club.

It was great to get out for a few hours.

Some of the guys were doing the Chiang Dao loop on Monday.... so Tum and I met up with them for dinner, having done a loop of our own. It started with a laugh, as we were licence checked on the Super Highway. I laughed as they pulled me in "three times today".... they laughed and waved me back out. So, it was left onto the 1001, up to Phrao, left onto the 1150 and then left again onto the 107

We copped a heavy shower before Phrao, but were dry by the time we met the guys for drinks. Bikes were left at the Huan Chiang Dao Resort... a place we will visit again, and we taxied to Chiang Dao Nest #2 restaurant to have our tongues singed

These are northern "herby" sausage entrees - rather spicy

For a main, I had a Penang beef curry and a couple of Chiang Mai red beers (brewed in Cambodia).... and half a bottle of McGuigans Merlot

Even the ladies (Tum included) said it was too spicy.

After a rather fine included breakfast at the resort, we popped out to see the 25 top pagoda, which dates from 179AD, if my memory serves me correctly... and we "did" the cave, before heading back to my new role at Riders Corner. Until I get the appropriate stamp on my forehead, I'm restricted to coffee QC.
