To get your Russian Immigration Visa in Thailand, YOU HAVE TO GO IN PERSON to The Embassy of the Russian Federation and apply in person. Location in Bangkok, Thailand is below:

Documents needed:
1. Passport
2. 2x passport photo's
3. Invitation letter from a licensed Russian tour company
4. Detailed itinerary
5. 4,500 Bht for visa fee
Processing time is 7 days, anyone can pick up your passport from the Embassy with the receipt. THEY ARE CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS.
In Malaysia, from a friend getting his there now:
Yes there is a local agent here that will issue invite letter and send to Russian embassy for a fee. Mine is already submitted but won't know till 20 days time.
