The much anticipated trip to the Golden Land of Myanmar, probably the least well explored country in South East Asia. The crossing only restricted us to venture the town of Tachilek, east of Shan State. Not forgetting a quick stop to Doi Mae Salong and Golden Traingle in Chiang Saen.
Leaving Myanmar, we headed down South for the frequently mis-informed Thailand states of Pattani, Narathiwat and Yala. No tensions felt although the presence of police and soldiers were everywhere. As always about Thailand, the people was ever friendly, good food, beautiful beaches in Narathiwat and inviting corners enroute from Yala to Betong..
