Report on Laos Secret War Movie Night Wed 6th April 2011
It turned out to be a great Laos secret war movie evening with 47 people watching the documentaries about the U.S covert operations in Laos 1964-1973
The chefs laid on a delicious BBQ as good as the one on Alaska night
Great kebabs
Because of the rain, about 15 people weren't able to come, so we would have had 62 people, a new record!
After everyone was fed it was time to get down to the serious business and the Laos secret war documentaries
I think everyone was shocked by the content and what an undercover operation it had been by the USA
We're going to try and do this once a month because of so many requests
As my friend Rich said "A very informative narrative on the history prior to the US ivolvement.
