Another Laos river crossing in the wet season. This time, heading into Attapeu. An all-girl crew.

Another Nam Xan River crossing - photo by Thomasz Bukowski. This river crossing has now been replaced by a bridge over the Nam Xan in road 1D north-west of Thasi (crossing more or less at the same place as shown in the picture in the post above this one)

Still in Samar, Philippines...

The wood on this one is extremely slippery when wet...
Discovered that fact while riding across it and made the crossing
a bit more exciting than it would appear to be.

No problem with these:

In Leyte, Philippines. This is the island that was hardest hit in the recent typhoon.

There used to be a bridge here:

Crossing the Srinagarind Reservoir, part of the Western Forest Complex protected area in the Kanchanaburi area.

I had to wait around for an hour or more for the ferry to leave (at least I could get a feed there), but as it turned out, I was the only passenger.

Somewhere in central Laos. Hadn't noticed this shot before. I've obviously given the camera to a local, as I was travelling solo, and it was vastly underexposed...

We passed through Leyte again back in May. The typhoon from back in November 2013 really made a mess of the place.

The bridge we used on our previous visit before the typhoon (see post #663 above) sustained a bit of damage and we
did not feel it was safe to try to ride the bikes across it:

So we negotiated with the locals for a bit of alternate transportation for the crossing:
