Outside temp reading on a motorbike

As my car has a display with the outside temp, I also sometimes on the motorbike wonder about the outside temp. I know some motorbikes have it standard on the dash-board (BMW?). So I bought a cheap temp meter and had the idea of putting it on the bike .... to find out that sensor would be to close to the heat of the engine.

So has anyone a idea of where the temp sensor should be installed?

on the Bars maybe ? behind a small screen ?

Tried that ..... within 10 seconds the heat from the engine hits the sensor.

My outside temperature sensor is in the air intake duct. It's 'A' in this pic:
