Re: ride report test

We'll get this into ride reports as soon as we can.

Thanks for the content, it's what will make this a success

Re: ride report test

The password problem is now solved. We're still working out the kinks 8-)

Don't hesitate to PM siteadmin if you find a problem -- no matter how small, we want this place to look like we actually know what we're doing!

Re: ride report test

You popped our cherry!, Thanks so much bush pilot.

I'm working on some fresh stuff now as are others.

Re: ride report test

Bush Pilot, i think the large size is as big as we want to go, any bigger and slow connections will suffer

Re: ride report test

I was trying to figure out the make of them tractors, the one in the foreground reminds me of a Farmall but the colour seem too bright, are they McCormicks (spelling??)

Cheers,
Eric

Bush Pilot,

Someone here is loving the tractor pictures!

What camera are you using, colors and resolution are fantastic?

Thank you for the extra pictures!
It is not often one sees older tractors in Thailand, what you found there was a rare find indeed!!

Below is an old steam engine I found just outside Phrae last year.

This is an old British built machine, would be interesting to know its history.

^wow that steam tractor is a beauty! Thanks.

Yea I always stop when I see a nice tractor.

I'm using a 5 year old Olympus E-300 8MP with a standard 14-45mm F3.5 lens

It's pretty much obsolete by today's standards. Nice thing is you can buy them dirt cheap on e-bay now.

Also I just shoot JPG's and don't bother with photoshop.

If you want to see an incredibly sweet camera have Daveg show you his Nikon D60!

Hi Eric,

Great photo. I'm planning a trip out next year, if you can remember where it was outside Phrea I could go and check it out and may be able to get it's Makers Number.

If anyone else spots anything similar, like Eric I'm always intrested in tracking these old machines down to get their history.

Tim

Just as an up date. The Tractor is not an Aveling & Porter as first thought, but a Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies Tractor No 32013 of 1921 built in Ipswich, England; however, records show that the tractor was originally built in 1920 and shown at the Royal Argricultural Society of England Show in Darlington in June 1920 before being sold to Mitsui and transported to Thailand.

Any more photos of these old engines around the world are of great intrest.

Tim
