no, death valley is ob kahn nat pk with the big hill, up to the samoeng/mae win track. bit like the one we did last time north of mae rim, only harder
I'll plan a route, by 10pm, then we can meet at stadium, or by night bazaar.
Whos coming and what you wan to do/not do?
How about this?
Singletrack down to the Mae Win dirt road, carry on and down the singletrack to link up with te Mae Win road, then on down there a bit to death valley, and back across country.
Shouldnt be difficult, keep moving and nice tracks.
Meet at 700yr stadium 10 am and head to start.
Unless anyone would rather meet up elsewhere, I'm easy
Alex - does this route start and finish at the same place?? I can't follow the above map. I don't want to do loads of road miles as my bike doesn't like it. I take my bike in my truck to the start / end point.
Heres a loop with not too many road miles.
We could meet and park near the green arrow junction N18.77607 E98.85420
but now its 0720 friday, not sure who'll see this.
So I'll watch this space, if anyone wants to start there on the 1269,,ok,let us know, otherwise I'll be at the 700yr stadium 10am, and maybe we take a different route.
ok, pmd you loop
check meet time with matt?
Should be somewhere good to park there
btw I am relying on matts comment about the bit SW from 1269, he said he did it recently and it was no problem.
was a different story last year when I did it
just got back, was harder than we expected
thanks for the company and the help finding the route
but I really wasnt expecting to crawl under some weird fruit vines for half a mile
now some of you will know where we were
Loop relaxing on a fallen tree
Loop on a wet root between a rock and a hard place
Matt stalling downhill into the stream
