Heads up from Mac / Bangkok Post
A new bus service linking Loei, Thailand and Luang Prabang in Laos launches today, aimed at boosting business and tourism between the countries.
The service, which has been on a trial run since Dec 23 last year, has received positive feedback from people who have used it.
However, passengers who only possess a border pass granted by a Lao immigration official can only travel as far as Xayaburi.
A passport is required if they want to travel to Luang Prabang.
