Total trip 135 km

Chicken Massaman at Mama's Kitchen 80 Baht

Thats looking ahead, doesnt look like it gets much use

I try to find the confluence of the Ping and Mae Taeng rivers but the asphalt road going to it turns to this

Riding through those trees was rather cooler then out in the sun

Water is flowing out and I guess that was my water crossing a bit earlier on

The track ends at this small reservoir

My only water crossing, in a few weeks I expect this will be dried up

Another track a couple of km further along the 1001

I walk inside but this building is deserted

It runs alongside the Ping for a way then this locked gate stops progress, the esri map shows another 300 metres and thers a track going back to the paved road but unfortunately there is no way to get the bike through

This too soon reaches the Ping

Another track starts here

Tobacco growing here

The track was muddy in places and goes to the Ping

After reaching the 1001 it was a few km before trying out an unmapped track

He was maintaining a steady pace along there

Its much more scenic and a lot quieter

The road that runs alongside the irrigation canal is a much nicer route then taking the 1001 going north from Mae Jo
