The route 1169, 1081, 4016, 1257
Total distance 189 km
Just outside Nan and my first stop was at the Jiranan reservoir
Now to enjoy this lovely twisty section of the 1081 before the widening crew destroy its beauty forever
On the 4016 and a new small reservoir has been created since I last rode along here
Just about full and next years ride here should see a bit more greenery growing here
Now I am riding alongside the Wa river
I walk out a short way on this suspension bridge for some photos
Theres always plenty of fish in this part of the Wa river
Now to enjoy the great scenery along the 4016
The only thing that spoils the 4016 is the loose gravel on the surface and care is needed along here
The Nam Mao which flows into the Wa
I leave the KLX and walk across as theres nothing to ride over for
The surface may be shot but the scenery is great
Now to ride back along the brilliant 1257
A fun ride back to Nan
A couple of doors along from my guesthouse the owner was cutting these chompoos from the tree and gave one to me, a taste slightly like an apple but this one was definitely not a sweet one
Roast beef, yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, cabbage , cauliflower, broccoli and gravy for 260 Baht at Tonys Place.
