I got off to an early start and was on the road by about 7.10am, it was quite warm and sunny in town but once a few km towards Wiang Sa this was the view.
It was cold too and I was glad I had zipped the windproof liner inside my jacket and put a pullover on as well, even then I was none too warm for a couple of hours

I was wondering if this was from a landslip or had been done to widen the road

At Phrae I got off the 101 and took the 1023 which joined the 11 closer to Lampang

Well laden today.
I moved the pointer on my GPS from Nan to Mae Sariang and it showed as 309 km in a straight line, I was expecting about 380 in tiotal and was amazed when it became an exact 500 km journey

Along the 108 coming out of Hot and the Mae Chaem river looks a bit muddy brown, perhaps there has been rain out this way

Stopping for a break and he comes whizzing past me

A modified Wave

A useful modification but I cant be bothered with the aggro of finding somebody to do it for me, plus my rear drum brake works adequately as it is

Not many do a 500km ride on a Wave in the one sitting.
Great little bike.
