12km south of Mae Sai, this is quite an unusual Wat as it's filled with around 100 monkeys that roam freely

Without the monkeys, this would be a beautiful Wat to visit, it has a picturesque, cliff, backdrop

Take some peanuts and/ or banana's. The monkeys are used to being around people and are semi-tame but bring a stick to set some boundaries

Babies can be fed by hand, the older ones seem frightened and show their teeth, so I wouldn't try feeding them by hand

Go there in the morning if you want to see the most monkeys, 1pm onwards they often head up into the jungle.

Nice shot's Phil.

It's a great place for the kid's, you can also climb the steps up to a small cave and Buddha shrine inside if you have the energy
