March 1st Wine Appreciation in the Amphitheatre Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi The Rathbone Estates Wine and Food Pairing Experience centres around an expertly prepared menu of six tasting size course with a twist. Each wine is designed to both compliment its paired dish and contrast the following dish, showing how wine can bring food to life (and vice versa) and how it can affect a dish if poorly done. The fifth Chiang Mai International Music Festival will take place at the historic Three Kings Monument in the centre of Chiang Mai’s old city from 08-10 March 2013 The three-day annual event will feature a fascinating mix of cultural, traditional and popular entertainment. Professional artists and dance troupes will be flown in from many different countries to form the centerpiece, and provide a beautiful spectacle of colour, rhythm, movement and harmony. Foreign residents from different parts of the world will operate colourful booths displaying specialties from their homeland. Some residents will perform on stage, creating a huge medley of fun and goodwill. Local businesses, international companies, hotels, and restaurants will occupy other booths, the ensemble guaranteeing three days of pure enjoyment. Major sponsors and supporters, together with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the City Administration, will add to the dynamics, the ambiance, and the publicity. March 31st Parents & Teachers Association of the Chiang Mai Ballet Academy and Chiang Mai Ballet Academy have organized the 11th Charity Musical Dance Play, “Legend of the Rose and Little Mermaid 2013” to be performed at the Kad Theatre in Chiang Mai on Sunday, March 31st, 2013. Show times are 13.30 hrs. and 19.00 hrs. Proceeds will go towards the Friends in Need (of “Princess Pa”) Volunteers Foundation, Thai Red Cross Society.
