Linking Omkoi (R 1099) To R 105 the northen way

David Bailey & I had seen this track heading off to the north west a couple of weeks ago and it looked like it must go all the way through to R 105.

So looking like it was a big track I thought I'd try it on the 990 Adv

A few heart stopping moments in some deep bull dust on steep inclines but the big beast got through in style

So looking at all the new mapping data, there's several ways to get through from the southern end of R 1099 to R 105

Gave the Chokwasana GH a try in Mae Sariang right opposite the Good View GH.

Beautiful big new chalets with aircon 500 bht.

Secure parking for the bike too

As you can see there's plenty of small villages on the dirt trail through the mountain, most villages would have fuel available, there was a small shop every 20km or so

Phil well done on linking more of this interesting previously unmapped area up
 
Looking at the layout of the villages, it also looks like R 1267 will link up to the south (estimated track/ blue line on the map)
