Kun Eak did confirm that they ARE associated with Kunka Corp ( KUNKA ), who is the authroized KTM dealer in Thailand, so keep this in mind if you're calling both re pricing.

Talking to him today, he tells me he'll have 6 bikes in the showroom, a 690 SMT for demo, a 990 Adventure, not sure about the remainder.

Am I cracking up or should this be...

The opening party was a huge success, everyone said there were 4X the amount of people there than anyone expected.

I was impressed by the 690 duke.. Up to now I had thought the SMC-R was the clear more desirable, but in the flesh I liked the Duke a lot..

Also the 200 looks a lot more solid than I thought it would be, expected it smaller sort of 3/4 size but it isnt.. The constant rumour of a 350 in that frame would be interesting.

As far as we could figure out, this was the owner of Kunka's parents.

Wishing them all the success, will be great to have somewhere to get the 3 i have serviced

Wish them every success too.. But they have agreed to service and parts supply non dealer sold bikes then ?? Unlike Ducati.

Gorgeous 690 SMR that was outside

I could never get past the insane beak on those..

Looks a lot nicer without the near vert big muffler.. Tho I am guessing thats a customer bike ?? Dont think they still sel the SMR not the 'new' 690 range is here ???

Fabulous pics coming through for this event, well done everyone for making it such a sucess.

Wonder if they are able to service and get parts for ktm dirtbikes?

Local dealer does make such a difference for parts supply / logistics..

Really digging that 690 duke in the flesh..

Why not the 690 SMR? Which is probably as perfect for north Thailand roads as you can get for a production bike.

1) I could never get to grips with the beakie styling.. Or the kicked up pipe. Purely design.
2) KTM are not selling it here direct ?? The SMR was stopped when the SMC was launched no ?? Old model ??

You sure you meant SMR ??

I do like the SMC, and the SMC-R (of which I 'think' on the SCM-R is sold here not sure if one phased out the other or if its simply 2 models with different price options) like I posted before I thought before seeing the duke 690 in the flesh, that the the SMC-R was the most desirable in the range for here, but seeing it I really dug the Duke.. The saddle looked like it could be ridden far more than the SMC-R's and dunno, something about it just added up to one appealing machine.

Yes by going SMC you could have dirt and SM trim easier.. And the SMC is still super desirable, just saw appeal in the duke.

I think you can still get them in Singapore - Kevin's was new 2 months ago
