I headed east along the 1317 but quickly headed south to avoid spending too long on it
IMG_0532.JPG
Immediately I was rewarded with some greenery to look at instead of just the smoky haze

I must remember to do this again next time as long as I am not in a hurry

She was catching a few small fish while I watched

Now to enjoy this fun road as far as Doi Saket
IMG_0547.JPG
Now heading north alongside the canal that flows down from the Ping
IMG_0548.JPG
Two days ago and no flow here, either the outlet here to the canal has been cut or possibly another canal further upstream has been turned off
IMG_0549.JPG
A very attentive dog
IMG_0550.JPG
Finally I find a way to the confluence through someones garden, with their permission of course
IMG_0551.JPG
Nothing spectacular but at least I found it

IMG_0553.JPG
Further downstream on the Ping
IMG_0554.JPG
Now riding south along the 3009
IMG_0555.JPG

IMG_0556.JPG
A short offroad detour to find a small reservoir
IMG_0557.JPG

IMG_0558.JPG
A lot of water in this one
IMG_0559.JPG
I thought this end was the overflow but I was wrong, water was flowing into it here
IMG_0560.JPG
The Hom Dang Thai truck was doing its rounds so I purchased 3 kg for 100 Baht, that should last me three weeks

Closer to Mae Rim and the bridge is slowly taking shape now

Chicken Pakora and garlic naan at Indish 165 Baht

That water south of the confluence is up & indeed over the Weir above it has more water than has been over the last few weeks.

Did you check out the water across the other side of the Mae Taeng project on your travels? Unless you cross over, you wouldn't know it was there !

A couple of months ago I visited the Mae Taeng project then rode back south a bit before taking the bridge over the river and following a concrete road north to the 3052.
I noticed work going on with a new irrigation duct being made and noticed a large body of water too, I guess that was it
