Heading north on the 107 I got off of it just north of Mae Rim to follow a canal road which kept alternating between paved and unpaved
IMG_6637.JPG
The rain from last night was a bit heavier further north and a nice muddy water colour

Now on the twisty 5025

The Mae Taeng river is also a muddy brown colour

Some Western and Asian tourists enjoying a slow trip along the road
IMG_6646.JPG
These four had just left their village of Ban Huay Pa Rai

I will explore it on the way back from seeing how far this track goes

Lots of mud and water today but the Waves tyres cope with it easily enough

At the tracks end a few shacks, I was hoping to link this track up to the one I found over the mountain but sadly it was not to be.
My GPS showed me a 1 km from it but with a massive height difference

IMG_6659.JPG
Riding back a side single track was explored

A few more of these bridges were rode over
IMG_6664.JPG
This concrete bridge has collapsed
IMG_6665.JPG

IMG_6666.JPG
I could hear voices but see no one, then suddenly they emerged into view

A better bridge but sadly it leads me to a dead end so its back to the collapsed one to get out unless I wish to ride back again
IMG_6672.JPG
The Wave easily manages this

Now to look around Ban Huay Pa Rai

You are a lucky man, Colin. As well as your beautiful warm weather and stunning scenery you have won the lottery - you are going to miss the December 12 election. And most important of all the preceding weeks of hustings, propaganda and lies. I am now regretting my chance to come to Thailand for 2 months!
