We were fortunate enough to arrange dinner (at L'Elephant) with Don Duvall in Luang Prabang, who is the God of off-road riding in south east Asia. Incredibly interesting man, you could listen to him for hours.

Rob noticed he was losing lots of coolant and we couldn't figure out where it was going. Again attracted lots of attention when looking for the leak this time

After some probing, Robs leak turned out to be a pin hole in the radiator

The first attempt to repair with a stone, some rubber and wire ties was unsuccessful
179019_10150189938513345_610023344_8764193_5331077_n.jpg

So we then did the repair the correct way with some epoxy and it worked great
181920_10150189938578345_610023344_8764195_2233963_n.jpg

We bumped into a Belgian guy on a 1200GS while doing a repair who had lunch with us while we were waiting for the repair to harden
181319_10150189938593345_610023344_8764196_7092636_n.jpg

The repair delayed us and we ended up rolling into Vientiane in the dark, checked in a the Metropole hotel 850 bht , huge rooms in a good location

Guess you haven't been to the Dao Fa Nightclub opposite the Stadium - just try it (sorry, no pictures).

The Da Fa has been investigated in the passed Lone Rider. For some strange reason, we're always drawn to the Moon swan, the line dancing is so "odd" that we're drawn to it.
