I only had a small area to cover today and thought it would be quickly done as I didnt expect to find much in here

A paved road soon turned to unpaved

Just rice fields, what can I expect to find out here

Riding under the trees and I spot a shelter to eat my lunch

As I was eating my lunch in the shelter I suddenly spotted this beautiful creature up in the rafters gazing down at me, realising I had left the camera on the bike I ran back to get it fully expecting my buddy to have disappeared by the time I got back

A Golden tree Snake I am assuming, I took the photos on zoom as I was worried if I got too close I would frighten it away

At this point I was wondering if my ham sandwich was getting its taste buds aroused and it fancied a change from rat for dinner, sadly it wouldnt come any closer to me though

After a while it just disappeared and I could not find it again, then I spotted its shedded skin hanging from the rafters too

My companion has left so I continue eating alone then ride on

This is more often the sort of place where a snake startles me

I have no desire to follow him too closely

Lunch time for these guys too

She has just been rummaging around in the irrigation canal

More tracks found here that link up

Going over a couple of tracks I mapped closer to the 101 reveals more that I missed or were not there before

One track that was unpaved before now has this surface

As I am approaching the 101 its back to this for the last few hundred metres whereas the rest of it is paved, someone pocketed some of the budget I guess

The Sa river as I ride over it on the 101

A track goes off to my left

When I see these flooded rice fields I am reminded of the shrimp/prawn farms when I ride to the south of Thailand

Despite nearly looping back to the 101 I cant quite make the link through that so its an about turn and ride back

Chicken and mushroom pie with chips and salad at Crossroads 195 Baht, this was the special of the day
