Distance 216 km

Plenty of workers in the fields this morning

It was sunny as I rode out of town then quickly clouded over and was a bit chilly but thankfully this was shortlived and the sun was soon out again plus the temperature rose

Virtually every bike here is a Honda Wave

I dont understand why people take the fully enclosed chainguard off, even with offroad riding I am finding the chain retains its lubricant and I seldom need to spray it

The twisty shortcut I found yesterday going to the 118

The sad view of the Mai Suai dam when its not overflowing

I found these two shots from a few years ago of how it should look from the top. I have some somewhere from the ground too but I cant locate them at the moment.
Hopefully this view will available again if they fix the damage above

Yesterday I noticed a bridge as I looked across the reservoir from the dam but no tracks show on either Auke's or the OSM map so today I explore and find this unmapped paved road

It runs alongside the reservoir

Finally I reach the bridge

This is a short ride after crossing the bridge

At the end of the paved road is this at N19.68602 E099.52042

These

And some stairs which luckily were in the shade and it was a pleasant climb

No sign of any regular visitors here

Nothing to climb those steps for

Phrawihan Trai Lak Sana Khun Phut Sathan Cave is what the ESRI GPS map says is here

I venture inside but as I dont have a torch I dont go far and just take a few photos using the flash.
It would be foolish to do anything risky here as I doubt anyone will be coming to help me out

As I ride back over the bridge I take the unpaved track to the right as it looked the better one

Unfortunately it didnt go very far

The other track was steep and rutted for a while

Then I found this gut attending to the rubber trees and he confirmed I could get back to Mae Suai this way

Just past him the track became a lot easier

Once I saw that car I knew the paved road was getting very close

As I stop for my lunch this lot come riding past

Its now a pleasant ride along the 3037 on a warm sunny day

Now descending to get back on the 1089

A new restaurant for me tonight

N19.90339 E099.83294

Chicken and cashewnuts with rice, this was the large size which was 120 Baht and well worth it too, standard size is 90 Baht, I Was well impressed with the flavour
Add 10 Baht for rice for both dishes
