Plenty of workers in the fields this morning
IMG_9753.JPG
It was sunny as I rode out of town then quickly clouded over and was a bit chilly but thankfully this was shortlived and the sun was soon out again plus the temperature rose
IMG_9754.JPG
Virtually every bike here is a Honda Wave
IMG_9755.JPG
I dont understand why people take the fully enclosed chainguard off, even with offroad riding I am finding the chain retains its lubricant and I seldom need to spray it
IMG_9756.JPG
The twisty shortcut I found yesterday going to the 118

The sad view of the Mai Suai dam when its not overflowing

I found these two shots from a few years ago of how it should look from the top. I have some somewhere from the ground too but I cant locate them at the moment.
Hopefully this view will available again if they fix the damage above

Yesterday I noticed a bridge as I looked across the reservoir from the dam but no tracks show on either Auke's or the OSM map so today I explore and find this unmapped paved road

I venture inside but as I dont have a torch I dont go far and just take a few photos using the flash.
It would be foolish to do anything risky here as I doubt anyone will be coming to help me out
IMG_9788.JPG

IMG_9789.JPG
As I ride back over the bridge I take the unpaved track to the right as it looked the better one
IMG_9790.JPG

IMG_9792.JPG
Unfortunately it didnt go very far
IMG_9793.JPG
The other track was steep and rutted for a while
IMG_9794.JPG
Then I found this gut attending to the rubber trees and he confirmed I could get back to Mae Suai this way
IMG_9795.JPG

IMG_9796.JPG
Just past him the track became a lot easier
IMG_9797.JPG

IMG_9798.JPG

IMG_9799.JPG
Once I saw that car I knew the paved road was getting very close

Chicken and cashewnuts with rice, this was the large size which was 120 Baht and well worth it too, standard size is 90 Baht, I Was well impressed with the flavour
Add 10 Baht for rice for both dishes
