The Nam Mae Moei reservoir has a lot of fishermen there today
Shame there is hardly any water in it
Along the 1184
Now on the 3021 which links the 1184 to the 106
The GPS map shows the Nam Mae Lop running alongside the road
Hardly and water flow though
Now offroad to find a reservoir I can see on the GPS map but have to find the way there as no tracks show going to it
This husband and wife both spoke perfect English, they studied in Australia and then worked for Chevron in Bangkok
The dog appears okay being the boys horse
This unknown reservoir had a decent amount in it
The track carried on so I explored it
It brought me to this smaller and dirty looking reservoir
This one was virtually full
Now off to look for another reservoir
It wasnt worth the journey
The track finishes and another one is two km through there, I didnt even bother looking
Tobacco being cultivated here
That tree certainly provides plenty of shade
A fun section of road
Another reservoir thats well low
I find a paved road on Auke's map showing it going back over to the 1184 which I dont remember riding before, its on the OSM as unpaved but shows as not going through.
If I had mapped it then it would have been on both maps, annoyingly whoever gave the track to Auke never told him it was unpaved
It starts off okay then soon descends into a very rough bumpy and rocky track
Through the woods and I have missed the turning I should have taken
This doesnt look good now and I was surprised to see another bike here
I ask him go this way to Lamphun, he first shook his head then look puzzled and said yes Lamphun. I should have turned around then but carried on
Hardly any track here, only this sign
I ride back and locate the track I missed
This is getting rough now
According to both GPS maps I am virtually back to the paved surface and none too soon
Was I glad to see this
New restaurant for me tonight, its on Ratvithi road about 100 metres east of the UN Irish Pub
Meat lovers pizza, 299 Baht normally but I saw on CME that there was a half price promotion on so I only paid 150 Baht, it was nice too
