YES, CFMoto near Hangzhou / Zhejiang / China is the manufacturer.

Is it as good as it looks?

No idea, personally have absolute no interest in this "plastic-fantastic" China type of motorbike.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder….

side-note: CFMoto is the official importer of KTM in Mainland China and they will start sort of co-operation in assembling 200-390cc KTM bikes (mainly Duke bikes) in China as of 2014: CFMOTO

And yet for a 'plastic fantastic' bike this particular world record breaking (to be confirmed) bike did a fantastic job of handling the conditions in all of the China Provinces.
That was nearly 34,000 trouble-free kms.

The CF Moto 650TK fell once during the trip, but met all challenges, needing just a change of tires during the journey.

'Hats off' to the riders and the bike, I say.
