Akha Swing Festival 2014 / 2557
In case you don't know what it is, have a look at my trip report from last year to Ban Apa Phattana near Chiangrai - http://www.rideasia.net/motorcycle-forum/thailand-information/4120-akha-swing-festival.html. It is basically a three day happening with the preparation of the swing done on the first day (every year a new swing is constructed) followed by other ceremonies including music, dancing, etc. I got the place names and dates from the Akha School in Chiangrai but there most probably will have been something lost in translation so in case you are not sure about the village name or its location you can call Mr. Athu from the Akha School at 081-9522179
