I've seen confusion on some FB posts about where Singapore Road is. The road was funded by:
It runs off the top end of the 4029, 2.1 kilometres from where the Doi Pha Tang access road meets the 1093 (which is just 150 metres from where the 1093 meets the 4029)
It's not a long road, but its a bit of fun, joining the 1155 near Po Klang after dropping 850 metres or so in not much over 12.5 km
If you try and find it on Google maps, you wont. It doesn't connect in the middle on their map
Some of the construction work is visible in satellite view, but, just as the connection isn't shown here, it isn't on their map
It was getting late and we wanted to get to Baan Sakuna at Chiang Mai before dark, so we didn't stop for photos on December 2nd, but we did shoot the whole road on video, including the little bit of dirt at the bottom end
I was on the Forza, which behaved reasonably well and didn't boil the brakes until I stopped at the beginning of the dirt stretch. The top end of the road has some very steep sections. Steep enough that when we did the road in August, going up, my 500X popped a wheelie as I opened the throttle on one stretch.
The following photos were from our trip in August - much greener than now and with short growth on the crops
Of course, one should take in Doi Pha Tang whilst up that way
