Owned by a Scandinavian called John, a real gem in the middle of nowhere and motorcycle friendly.









The place is nicely kept, he has several large, quality, self contained, 2 story, chalet styled houses, each can sleep 6-8 people.


The big chalets rent for about 600 Ringit a night, not so bad if its split between a group.

Small town on the banks of the Tutoh River, excellently run homestay with good food available. Very knowledgable village cheif who speaks excellent English

Royal Mulu Resort, Mulu National Park


An opulent place to stay in the middle of a virgin rainforest, only accessible by plane, boat (or motorcycle!). Rack rate is 460 Ringit per night, food is reasonably priced.

Loads to do there with some really special caves and canopy trails
