The development of the 106 now actually opened that links the 11 at Lamphun over to Sanpatong is now taking on a second phase.
From the sign below which states that this road system is the Sanpatong & Hang Dong By-Pass we can now look forward to an easier route to Chiang Mai without the bottle necks of Sanpatong & Hang Dong.
I looked at google maps and recalled what I last saw at the southern end of the canal road. The wilderness beyond the end of the canal road where the road ends was recently being cleared.
Here is a first stab at the route the by-pass might take, I will endevour to update it when I ride the 1013 next.
