Uphill (mountain) , sweeping corners would be fabulous, even a 100hp bike will labour in top gear on some gradients, so I suppose you could use the power in these situations

And how much rider aids does it take to tame a 200hp upright so mortals can control it.. The vid of the guy flipping it just blipping the throttle in the pit lane being the perfect example.

Sure I would like to ride one, to feel just how mad it is.. But its not a bike I have as much desire to own.

If I was to buy a big road touring bike, this is the bike i would buy (BMW S 1000 R naked). With BMW's build quality, warranty & design, it will be the perfect bike for huge road trips.

The price was 830K when I checked in April.

Unfortunately Thailand only gets the base model with no Sport (all TC options) or Dynamic (which gives the DDC suspension) modes- still a nice bike, but certainly a step down in performance from the version that's used in all the reviews.

Nice machine...a little too much plastic for my taste but truly nice...and just by changing the exhaust you get 20Kg less

Even if you go for a full titanium system you won't save anything approaching 20kg (the whole stock system on the S1000R weighs less than than that- it's the same system that's on the S1000RR, which weighs a bit under 12kg)- some manufacturers claim a reduction of ~8kg with their aftermarket systems.

I dumped the huge dual stainless system (which weighed about 20kg) on my 14R for a full-ti single system and only saved 15kg.

I just thought it was kind of a pointless comment on a thread to which people living in LOS who are interested in this bike might be directed. When I was researching my current bike, there was a lot of misinformation about the Thai version of it on another forum that I initially took as correct, and it would have been nice to see posts that were actually factual and informative on the thread dedicated to it.
