Ingenious idea, while it may not pump your matt supper hard it will save you time while you put up your hammock or tent.

Drowning in a sea of Pampers i have been looking to replace some various items of kit in readiness for the drier season, i showed a video before of a mini inflator, well Thermarest make their own model which i purchased via Amazon, who kindly refunded some of my shipping fee since the package slipped by customs. I am hoping this will mean an end to my Neo Air deflating overnight in cold weather when inflated via mouth, plus it will give me time to put up my gear while it's working it's magic.

This video suggests rolling up the mattress during inflation for those of you who are running out of puff and looking for a more efficient way to inflate your mattress.

If you want to get super technical you shouldnt blow them up by mouth. The main reason you're using the inflatable mattress is to insulate you from the cold ground. The moisture in your breath reduces the insulation efficiency (reduces the R value) of the mattress. Use a pump and less moisture inside the mattress.

Ended up going the cheap Charlie way and bought a Therm-a-Rest Airtap pump. It's an overpriced air valve and tubing that you can use with any bag, plastic or drysack etc.
