500 Bht it's great value for the clean rooms, the only downside is it's not easy walking distance from the lake.

The views from the hotel over the lake and mountains are great

The Cosy Nest

The Cosy Nest
Awesome shower and great wifi, nice clean room.
The bike is park on the front but there is CCTV and a security guard on as the hotel is open 24hrs.
Quite a nice place but a bit on the expensive side, they only had the large twin and kings rooms left, they were asking 1500 Bht but got him to knock 10% off the price, breakfast included

Arunothai homestay

We stayed at the Arunothai for one night and it was a mistake.
800 baht for two mattresses on the floor? Dirty and dusty, a run down place.

Next time we will try the Jum Jai, cheaper, newer and friendlier......

Spent a night in Phaya and stayed at the Buakaewplace Hotel right at Khwan Phayao. 1200 Baht per night for a smallish but good/clean room with WiFi and breakfast included. Coordinate 19.16380N and 99.89877E or Chaykwann Rd. 39 Phone 054-480933 or 084-0462341

Secure parking behind a locked gate with a guard

The Buakaewplace hotel on the right (next to Cup Cake Phayao) and the new Phuglong Hotel on the other side (partly hidden behind the tree). Had a look also there but prices started at over 2000 Baht which was more than I was willing to pay Phuglong-luxury-hotel

The last time in Phayao I did stay at a brand new hotel "Green Hill Phayao Hotel". It is a little bit out of the real center (Kwan Phayao) with all the restaurants but still within walking distance and along the lake. It has private parking but no cover for motorbikes. The hotel has a huge swimming pool. Price was I think about 1200 THB incl. a simple breakfast. Good and comfortabel rooms with balcony and view over the lake. And the bathroom had a bathtub (I like that as I do not have that at home)

I did review the hotel at my "Hotel & Resort Reviews Thailand" web-site where you can also find some other hotels in Phayao.

Sorry I still not understand / forget how to put a photo here.

Phuglong Hotel

The best hotel in Phayao, right on the lake in a great location.

The view out of reception!
